Miss MJ

The day before Thanksgiving our dear, sweet, little Madelyn (aka MJ) was diagnosed with Leukemia. It was a whirlwind those first few months. Our biggest, warmest apologies to all of you we had to cancel on during November and December. But we are slowly… getting it back together. During the months of April and May Madelyn’s treatment will be the most intense to date and the doctors want her close to the hospital. So we will be living in Seattle. One of us will be up during the week and one of us will stay in the city for treatment appointments. Yes, it will be complicated, but we love KP Studios and being photographers. With Kimee’s help we will make this work!

Do you all know how lucky we are in Washington State? We have these amazing institutions treating and researching… they are saving my daughter’s life from the scary clutches of cancer. Take the time:

Don’t be shy
Please don’t be shy! We are going through an awful lot with Madelyn being sick, but we also need and love to work. It is good therapy for us to have a sense of normalcy – and that means photo shoots! So please don’t hesitate to call or email if you are interested in a photo shoot. Our kiddos sure grow up fast and it is so important to document these moments…
